Providing ‘micro’ grants from 1% of Alpkit’s turnover has made a big impact for thousands of people.
Many brands are developing a social conscience and Alpkit are no exception. It’s important to let customers know what is being done for the greater good but it needs to be approached sensitively.
If we appear to be ‘crowing’ or boastful it can become distasteful. We avoided this by leading with the real heroes - the people that make the difference with their energy and ideas. They are the players and Alpkit the supporter.

Focusing on compelling truths and true stories the copy is all about how Alpkit’s small contributions unlocked real change driven by brave and imaginative individuals. Punchy green, gritty black and white photography together with raw typography gave a gutsy active feel to the job. Like the people it portrays it is gutsy and gets the message across.
Trying to do our part, we subsidised this job with 1% of the annual turnover - whoever said ad men don’t have souls!
